I’m not a very good blogger.
Scheduled posts are non-existent. I pretty much write when I feel like it; I don’t have anything logged ahead of time to take the strain off.
There’s a possibility that I don’t follow all the rules. I say possibly because obviously I don’t have a clue what they all are.
I’m completely random on what day/time I post. I wish I paid attention more, but I honestly am not about the numbers.
90% of the time I have no idea what I’m going to write about. My fingers are crossed most often than not, hoping that once I start writing it will come to me.
Whew. Glad I got all of that off my chest.
When I started Edible Balance, I just wanted to get out there. Wherever ‘there’ might be. I had no plans of what I wanted it to look like, but it slowly morphed into sharing about my health struggles. I never imagined that I would eventually tell the world about my hormone health issues, PCOS diagnosis, and celebrating getting my cycle back… it still weirds me out a bit.
However, I’ve said it a million times; I am grateful for this journey, and this platform to share and hopefully inspire others to gain their health back in the most natural way possible. With food. Now more than ever I have learned that food really is medicine, of course it took me a long time to realize that.
I’m a pusher. Sort of.
You’ve most likely noticed that I post on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook quite a bit about new favorite brands, local restaurants, small businesses, anyone who I feel that I can 100% stand behind. I do this because I love doing my small part in bringing these companies to all of you, to anyone who takes a few seconds to read what I have to say. Little ‘ol me.
Stay with me, it’s a long post but a good one, I promise!
Today I want to focus on a company that I have gained a huge amount of respect for, and can literally thank for helping me on my ongoing journey of maintaining hormone health and balance. In fact, my naturopath is pretty convinced that the herbs and medicinal mushrooms that I have been incorporating in my every day routine for the last few months has been crucial in what my last few blood test results have shown.
Four Sigma Foods is an incredible small business that has started making waves in the North American health, supplemental, whatever you want to call it, world. They truly are making their mark and I am so grateful to have found them thanks to Meghan Telpner.
